The new ipad is set to be released this Saturday! I'm not really sure how I feel about this new product. I read an article on CNN, the top 10 things you need to know about the new ipad. The new ipad is just like a laptop except there no keyboard it's just a touch screen. In other words it's just a bigger version of the ipod touch.
They are starting at $499 dollars and go to $829 dollars tops. These prices reflect the amount of storage you want to purchase. In other words, how much music and files you want to store on your ipad. It weighs only 1 1/2 pounds which is crazy, and 9.7 inches across measured diagonally!!!
The ipad is similar to the ipod touch because it can get Internet anywhere that a wireless signal is found and it can also be linked to AT&T's mobile 3G network and you can get Internet anywhere you are.
The ipad is really good for different types of media such as watching videos browsing the web, reading books, etc. It's also good for gaming. If you want to create word documents you have to pay an extra fee to have it put on as an Apple App.

I actually saw something last weekend at a Friday's that I thought was an ipad-but perhaps not since its not being released until tomorrow-haha. But that just goes to show that there are so many new technologies out there, all similar, that I cant't keep them straight!
ReplyDeleteWe've pondered the iPad, but I think we need to get our hands on it for a "test drive" before we invest.... We probably won't be among the "early adopters"...
ReplyDeleteYes I agree. Actually this kid Mike who is in two of my classes bought one and he was letting people play with it. I don't think I will get one and if I do it will be when it's going out of style hahaha...
